Update 06/09/12 - Go NE

New are Volvo B9TL / Wright 6043-55 (NK12GCO/V/U/X-Z/DA/E/F/J/O/U/X). 6043-8 are at Gateshead for the X9/X10 in a new version of the livery, while 6049-55 are at Washington to fully convert the Red Arrows service to double deck.

 

Of the existing X9/X10 vehicles, 3963/4 are retained at Gateshead, 3963 painted as dedicated spare for the X9/X10, 3941/2 are at Winlaton for service Ten (which will also received new B9TLs at some point), 3943 is at Washington as back-up for the Red Arrows B9TLs and 3962/5 are at Chester-le-Street where they will support the forthcoming new hybrids on the 21.

 

Three further new Optare Solo SRs have arrived for Nexus work, these being 637-9 (NK12HCD-F).

 

Volvo B7TL /  Wright 3964 (NK06JXC) and Volvo B7TL / East Lancs 3966/9-71/3/6/9 (PN02XCF, PJ02PYV/W/X/Z/ZC/F) have been repainted into Northern red, while others are losing their Angel branding, as are the red Angel B7TLs.  Scania Omnicities 5250/73 (NK56KHW/KJ) are now silver.  Scania L94UB / Wright 4933/41/67 (Y933ERG, NK51OLC, NK53UNT) are further examples in Highwayman green, while the existing Highwayman vehicles are losing their branding. 

 

Scania L94UA / Wright artics 4950/2/3 (NK51OLR/U/V) have been withdrawn.  Dennis / Plaxton SPD 8159-61 (S359-61ONL) have been withdrawn from the driver training school.

 

Volvo Olympian / Northern Counties 3898/900-2/8 (R256/549-51/266LGH) have been sold to Ensign, along with SPDs 8167/8 (S367/8ONL).
